Bioame (of character): Quirinus Herron Quirrell
House: Hufflepuff
Year: First year in 1971, now currently in 5th year
Appearance: Quirrell has dark brown hair that's nearly black close cut to his head, dark green eyes that have the ability to hypnotize you...literally (that's the rumor that has been circling). Lanky in build, he's about 5'10" with a pale complexion.
Personality: "Queer" Quirrell (as the teasing crowd have come to call him) is a quiet type but he's not afraid to approach someone if he needs to. He's not as withdrawn as other students might believe given his stuttering problem and his penchant for being nervous. He dislikes people surprising him and he sometimes acts as though he's had one too many cups of coffee. He's very friendly, and talks to people on a regular basis all over Hogwarts.
History: Quirrell is a Half-blood wizard who's studied Potions and Dark Arts for most of his life. His father is an apothecary in the Muggle world but his main job is a healer at St. Mungo's specializing in creature induced injuries while his mother worked on the potion and plant poisoning floor as an assistant healer. His father's particular area led to Quirrell's interest in the Dark Arts as he came into contact with many different sceanrios with dark creatures, much of which fascinated him to no end. His mother taught him a few basic potion skills for him to go on when he first attended Hogwarts, and with basics in both subjects, he was able to excel early, giving him top marks in Defense Against the Dark Arts and Potions.
